Princeton is the fourth-oldest private research university  in the United States founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and thus one of the nine Colonial Colleges established before the American Revolution. The University is located in the town of Princeton, New Jersey, which has a diverse population of 30,000 residents and is situated between New York City and Philadelphia. Princeton was the fourth chartered institution of higher education in the American colonies. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 5,323, its setting is suburban, and the campus size is 600 acres.
