    Howard University is a private institution that was established in 1636 in United States by the Massachusetts legislature and soon there after named for John Harvard. Harvard is the oldest institution of higher learning. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 6,974. It is one of the most prestigious universities in the world.It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. Howard University's ranking in the 2015 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, 145.
